Visit with scholars [2020-11-02]

A couple of weeks ago, Reneal Country Director David Nyangaka traveled to Ngorongoro District for business. While he was there, he made a surprise visit to Loliondo Secondary School where two of Reneal’s scholars began their A-level studies in July.  It was a happy reunion with our students Elimaini and Daniel.  They are enjoying their classes so far and doing well.

A-level (advance level) studies in Tanzania are a little bit like late high school/early college in the US.  A-level students choose a specialization, and they are assigned by the government to a school (usually far from their homes).  Elimaini and Daniel are both studying CBG (Chemistry, Biology, and Geography), a challenging combination.  While they were boarding students during their O-level (ordinary level) high school days, Loliondo is far from home for them.

David was also invited to speak to the entire A-level student body while he was at Loliondo Secondary School.  As the ICT Officer of Arusha Region (and a former teacher), he is always happy to have opportunities to motivate and encourage students in their education.

We wish Elimaini and Daniel continued success in this new chapter of their lives!
