A day in the life [2019-10-31]

One of the joys of working for Reneal is being a part of Teams in the Philippines and Tanzania that work together to support the students and teachers at the schools served by Reneal.  Thanks to Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, Neal and I have instant communication with Team members in both countries.  We strategize together, plan together, manage the flow of equipment together, and solve problems together.  We are so grateful for these dedicated partners that help Reneal achieve its mission!

Earlier this month, Reneal Team Philippines installed additional client computers at Cebu Technological University in Carmen.  Thanks to donations from Arm Corporation and Free Geek, Reneal was able to add units to this very active computer lab under the direction of Sir Louie Romano.  Reneal’s computer technicians Lloyd Tuñacao and Ervin Formentera organized the equipment that is stored in Sir Jade Reyes’ lab at Arcelo Memorial National High School.  They also purchased some additional needed items at the computer store in a nearby shopping mall.  The guys did a fantastic job of getting the new units installed, and Sir Louie’s lab looks great!  We are happy that even more students will now get hands-on use in this computer lab.  Thanks Reneal Team Philippines, Lloyd, Ervin, and Sir Jade, for your active and competent efforts!

Recent blog posts from Tanzania have highlighted the amazing in-country support provided by Reneal School Liaison David Nyangaka and Reneal Computer Technician Robert Nyangaka.  David managed an incredible number of logistical details to enable Reneal’s 2019 work to be successful.  Robert was with us every step of the way during our visits to the Arusha District schools.  However their top-notch work continues even when Neal and I are back in the US.  We had two schools in the last couple of weeks report that students could not log in properly.  Through WhatsUp and email, Neal and Robert worked together to solve the problem and to identify helpful future changes to avoid this issue in the future.  Those schools are back on line for the students again!  David and I are already working 2020 plans and challenges.  We are so grateful for David and Robert’s dedication and hard work to keep the computers running well for the students.

Reneal is truly blessed to have these Teams working side-by-side with us.  We couldn’t do it without them!
