Back in the North [2018-08-10]

July was a month of big accomplishments for Reneal Team Philippines.  After finishing the installation at Calero Integrated School in Liloan, Reneal computer technicians Rhog Sampan and Lloyd Tuñacao and OJT Ervin Formentera spent a week in Northern Cebu.  They were able to complete a long list of tasks, including installation of a new Reneal system in the Daanbantayan National High School library.

In addition to the new installation, the guys had two other major rewiring jobs during this trip.  Calape National High School was victimized by some rats who chewed on the Ethernet wiring.  And at Kawit National High School, they wanted to move their Reneal system into the school library.  The guys managed to finish that work plus pay visits to Tominjao National High School and Medellin Science and Technology High School to troubleshoot and repair some client computer issues.

As usual, our team was welcomed with wonderful hospitality while visiting the north.  Special thanks go to Daanbantayan National High School for hosting them all week and for providing transportation for the guys and their gear from Liloan to the North.

It’s really exciting to see the growth of our team’s confidence and skill.  They did the scheduling, purchased the needed equipment, dealt with unexpected issues, and used their entire bag of tricks to solve problems.  By the time they left the North, everything was in great shape.  Their experience, leadership, persistence, and dedication make them such an important part of our organization.  Thanks Reneal Team Philippines!

Our focus here in California is on preparing for the trip to Tanzania – more on that next week.
