2014 Preparations [2013-10-14]

Now that the 2013 Tanzania projects are behind us, our thoughts are turning to 2014.  We will leave for the Philippines in late January, with the goal of installing the low-cost computer system in six new schools.

The hardware for the server computers has already been acquired for the most part.  Neal was able to find some good sales, and he also found deals on the gigabit network switches. The main thing though is that most of the client laptops, donated by two Bay Area companies, have been shipped and are on their way already to the schools. They will be held pending our arrival.  We are eagerly anticipating our work with the school heads, teachers, and students at these new schools.  And of course, we also look forward to being back with colleagues and friends at our home school, Compostela National High School.

Please see our "How to help" link if you would like to support these projects, our 2014 Tanzania projects, or our other mission areas.
